I’d started a few drawing challenges in the past but was never great at them, largely because of accountability but also the lack of connection with the predetermined list. In 2022 I was feeling a little uninspired & I thought I’d tackle a challenge of my own while connecting with my kids.
#octoddler22 - a sketchbook challenge with prompts from my little muses. What started as a daily sketch to help populate some characters, maintain practice & stretch creative thinking, quickly turned into a ritual of exploration of the hilariously absurd, at times weird & always delightfully wonderful. Most are a hybrid combination of animals, people, & food with prompts inspired by conversations, requests or things we’d done during the day.
